Within the worldwide URS Corporation, URS Sustainable Development is the focal point for the provision of services to international development. URS international development team offers services of the highest quality in the design and management of projects throughout Asia and the Pacific. We are committed to supporting our clients to achieve sustainable development outcomes through appropriate, innovative and equitable innovations. We support our clients and stakeholders to integrate diversity, equity and innovation into sustainable, people-centred technical assistance activities.
Our international work in the region involves provision of specialist technical services in institutional development and governance, poverty reduction through sustainable development, land tenure and land use planning, participatory rural and community development, agricultural research and forestry. We specialise in community relations and stakeholder consultation, social impact assessment, poverty analysis, gender analysis, social and economic risk assessment and management, peace building and conflict resolution, investment planning and evaluation for cross-cultural partnerships. We provide teams for short and long term inputs on projects and programs funded by Asian Development Bank, World Bank, Australian Government (AusAID), European Union, British Government (DFID), Japanese Government (JICA) and for multi national companies working in the resource sector. We undertake feasibility and design studies, conduct independent reviews and evaluation of activities, provide project management and competency based capacity building of people and organisations.
Our multi disciplinary staff of skilled technical specialists and project managers deliver practical solutions to a range of development challenges. They are experienced in conceptualising and design, implementation and evaluation of projects and programs across a broad range of sectors. While the majority of our staff work out of URS offices around Australia, many are based in offices throughout the region.
