
URS has one of the largest, most comprehensive Coastal/Civil Engineering/ Environmental/ Geotechnical teams in Asia Pacific specialising in the following coastal engineering activities:
- Investigation, design and construction of new and existing maritime facilities projects
- Investigation, design and construction of canal and marina projects
- Collection, analysis, management and monitoring of a range of physical and environmental data including marine and terrestrial fauna and flora, shoreline movements, wave climate and sea level movements
- Provision of policy and advice to public and private entities regarding coastal environments and conditions including, but not limited to, beach protection, storm surges, community impact assessments, environmental impact assessments as well as a range of engineering and geotechnical advice.
The URS team has over 30 years’ engineering experience across all aspects of coastal engineering including engineering investigations, coastal structures, sand bypassing investigations, navigation and dredging investigations, estuarine studies, emergency coastal protection, numerical and physical modelling, coastal setback advice (SPP 2.6), storm surge and oceanic flooding studies, cyclone modelling, survey analysis and photogrammetric interpretation.
