URS has extensive experience in conducting a wide range of auditing projects. We have a number of Quality Systems Assessment (QSA) registered auditors who can undertake the following types of audit:

• Phase I environmental liability audits for the purposes of acquisition and divestiture
• Due diligence audits
• Audits of compliance with EMPs, Environmental Operating Licences or Environmental Legislation. Audits of the effectiveness and implementation of environmental management systems.
• Verification audits of public reports or other reports requiring verification such as completed Minerals Industry Code Surveys
• Waste audits to determine the sources, quantities and disposal routes of waste
• Energy and greenhouse audits
• Environmental audits of industrial processes, contaminated sites and remediation and of environmental conditions

It should be noted that URS can only conduct compliance audits from a technical perspective and is not qualified to provide legal interpretations of any piece of legislation or licence condition or to offer an opinion on the likely legal consequences associated with non-compliance. Should legal expertise be required, URS would request the services of a firm acceptable to our client.
