The identification and management of risk is an essential element of proactive project management, particularly during the development and environmental impact assessment phases. URS works closely with clients to clearly define and address the complex issues associated with various aspects of project development and environmental impact assessment.
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) preparation commonly requires a multi-disciplinary approach. Our specialist professionals have demonstrated capabilities in all environmental disciplines and provide a comprehensive range of services including biological studies, impact assessment, environmental and strategic planning, environmental management development, rehabilitation and closure planning, water modelling and management, government and community consultation, and social impact assessment.
EIS preparation also requires a sound understanding of regulator requirements and procedures. URS has prepared numerous formal and informal environmental assessment reports for a range of clients, and has excellent knowledge of the requirements of environmental assessments under the relevant regulatory regimes.
In addition to the preparation of a formal EIS, URS has extensive experience in the preparation of works approval applications and licence applications, and in negotiating workable and practical permit conditions.
We are also highly experienced in the preparation of annual reports for submission to a range of agencies.
