Landfill Gas Management

URS assists clients with management of methane, the hazardous and odorous greenhouse gas produced by landfills. Services include assessment of gas volumes and potential hazards created by offsite migration of gas, through to contract review for gas utilisation and advice on claiming greenhouse gas credits through energy generation.

For example in New Zealand the Ministry for the Environment have developed REBRI (Resource Efficiency Building Related Industries). URS consultants trained in REBRI can reflect our commitment to energy efficiencies and raise the bar with regard to construction site waste management.
